Every Chatlerie kitten descends from champion European bloodlines — imported lines from top catteries across Europe. European Maine Coons tend to have stronger muzzle definition, larger ear tufts, and the wild, regal appearance that drew you to the breed in the first place. But they're raised here, in our Illinois home, with the socialization and love that turns a pedigree into a family member.
Our kings and queens are selected not just for beauty, but for temperament, health, and personality. We don't breed for volume — we breed for quality. That means 2-3 carefully planned litters per year, never more.
Health Testing Without Compromise
Every breeding cat at Chatlerie is tested for HCM (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy), hip dysplasia, SMA (spinal muscular atrophy), and PKD (polycystic kidney disease). We don't skip tests. We don't cut corners. We don't breed cats with questionable results.
Every kitten leaves with age-appropriate vaccinations, a veterinary health certificate, a health guarantee, and TICA registration. Not as add-ons — as standard inclusions.
Home-Raised, Not Cage-Raised
Our kittens grow up in our home — not in a separate facility, not in cages, not in a barn. They're handled daily from birth. They meet dogs, children, vacuum cleaners, and visitors. By the time they reach your home, they're confident, social, and ready to be part of your family.
This matters more than most buyers realize. A kitten's first 12-16 weeks shape their personality for life. We take that responsibility seriously.

Every family gets lifetime support: nutrition guidance, behavioral advice, grooming tips, and a direct line to me whenever you need it. And every contract includes a lifetime return clause. If life changes and you can no longer keep your cat, they come back to me. No questions asked. No judgment.
